The Basic Research Directions
The Institute of market problems and economic & ecological research (IMPEER) is one of the main research institutions of National Scientific Academy of Ukraine, which was founded on the basis of Odessa Division of the Institute of Economy Scientific Academy of USSR, founded in May, 1970 by Doctor of Economics, Professor M.T. Meleshkine.
The results of fundamental and applied researches of the Institute are directed to solving of actual problems of national economy market reforms deeping, strategy and tactics of stable, balanced social-economical and econo-ecological development of Ukrainian Black Sea region.
In the round of tasks of the Institute are incoming the researches which directs the present condition of state economy:
- Theory and methodology of economy complexes restructurisation, forming of mechanisms of institutional transformations in economy;
- Economical policy and the mechanisms of providing of stable development and competitive ability of sea complex, tourist and recreational spheres ;
- Policy of institute-organizational transformations and forming of economic relations in the sphere of environment and providing the ecological safety;
- Strategy and mechanisms of enforcement the potential of The Ukrainian Black Sea Region and overcoming the social-economical disproportion of its development.
Scientific researches of Institute’s workers are realized by giving the consultations to the Ukrainian Government and other interested state organizations, preparing the monografies, appearance in press, providing seminars and conferences, giving the consultations in all ways of it’s scientific activity.
Scientific Potential
The Institute has 125 employees, among them 42 research workers, including 12 Doctors of sciences and 30 Candidates of sciences.
Institute Structure
There are 6 scientific departments at the Institute:
- Department of market mechanisms and structures (B.V. Bourkinsky, Acad. of the NASU Doctor of Economics, Prof., reception - ph. 722-29-05), theoretical problems and development of scientific-practical recommendations about realizing of market relations, market regulation of STP;
- Department of economical regulation of environment (Doctor of Economics, Prof. S.K. Kharichkov, ph. 724-08-60) – theoretical problems of economics and control for environment;
- Department of econo-ecological problems of coastal regions (Doctor of Economics, Prof. V.N. Stepanov, ph. 724-39-90) – development of methodology of economic mastering and rising of econo-ecological efficiency of nature-resources potential of coastal regions;
- Department of social-economic development of coastal regions (Doctor of Economics, Can. sci. O.V. Molina, ph. 725-14-65) – research of the social-economic development of coastal regions and development of population social defense policy;
- Department of enterprising development (Doctor of Economics, Prof. A.I. Butenko, ph. 722-00-82) – problems of enterprising development and it’s efficiency rising in the different property form conditions;
- Department of transport services market (Doctor of Economics, Prof. M.I. Kotlubay, ph. 724-05-61).
Publishing and Coordination Activity
The Institute publishes the scientific-practical journal "Economical innovations".
The Institute has a scientific library completed with modern domestic and foreign economic literature (A.Ya. Borodina, ph. 725-41-25).
The Institute regularly holds international and domestic scientific conferences, coordinates scientific research on problems of regions stable development, forming of market mechanisms, models development of free economical zones, enterprising development, which made in the higher schools and scientific-research institutions of South of Ukraine.
The Training of Researchers
The Institute has the post graduate and doctoral courses, it also has a Specialized Academic Council supervising the defense of doctoral theses in three specialties: economy and scientific-technical progress control (08.02.02), enterprising economy (08.07.01), economy of transport and communications (08.07.04), economy of nature using and environmental defense (08.08.01).
